Line Up and Wait
I landed at Maxson Field, Alexandria Bay, New York, 89NY, July 27, 2012 and was pleased to find that there’s a new owner/operator of the field who is making efforts to improve conditions.
He’s a recent pilot, and bought the airport to make sure it was available for his C182 trips from Oneida to the Thousand Islands.
He’s quite strict on PPR (prior permission required) and insists that every user sign his waiver before landing at Maxson.
No fuel available; three tiedowns on the grass, or provide your own tiedowns on the grass.
Contact Info:
Dave Labrecque
Email:silvercitytire@yahoo.com
Tiedown fee: $35/night or $150/week
Check for runway closure; Dave plans to repave later this summer.
Nice to see an airport being saved so we can all use it!
