Yesterday (day before, I forget) ABC was blasting this as a waste of taxpayers' money. Most of the funding for the paint job came from a program that promotes Alaska seafood. Now, how much was all that free air time worth if Alaska (not the airline) had to pay for it for advertising? Sounded like a pretty good return on investment to me.

what a waste of taxpayers money, I for one would like to see things like this go to paying police/firefighters and teachers a decent wage.
