The cameras are up and running. The grass looks really brown, but it looks like this evening (7/12) it rained. The video is really sharp and they have microphones on the cameras too, so you can hear sound.
Pretty sure this is the earliest they've ever activated the cameras. In the past it's been NET the week prior. Probably won't see much aircraft activity until Wed/Thur of next week.Kind of sparse right now.
I think before it was volunteers, who did a great job, but I think they have a dedicated group now that's part of EAA. Also, Dick Knapinsky said since the grass is so dry this year, they've been able to move the mowers to other tasks.
