You just hit on how places will market getting back out. LOL.
“Come in for a beer and burger, stay for the clean and fully stocked s***ter!”
If it does happen, it's likely to be very sparsely attended.
For those age 70-plus - will your loved ones let you attend?
Most of us who give a damn.
Jim
Well then COVID-19 is your friend, as it decimates (hydro)carbon emissions worldwide.
Yes, yes I do She’s next to my fuel capsBy the time Oshkosh rolls around nobody will remember the correct number after the word "COVID" on this virus round. The majority of us won't know anybody who contracted it, and even fewer will know anybody who died of it.
And the MSM and social media will be on to something else entirely in their never-ending over-dramatized attempts to frighten the citizens.
News today seems to have a decay half-life of about 10 weeks max. Anybody remember Greta?
The governor just banned all gatherings of more than 50 people. But I believe this will only be temporary. I think we will all be there in July. Please make it happen EAA. My other option is a Pez convention with the wife.

I think people will remember it at minimum due to the financial, if not health, impacts. Lots of middle class impacts. My kids have friends whose parents are now living off of their savings. I think an event like Osh will be a discretionary spend that some will opt out of due to this event. Doesn’t matter if we believe whether the virus is as bad as they say. The econ impact IS bad.
So you're saying there's a chance we won't have to hold around Rush lake?
The prez just said this could go on into a July and August on the evening news (3/16). Take that for what it’s worth.
Looking worse every day this past week, let's see what next week brings us, but I'm not sure if will be any better. I fear that we are in this mess for a while, and events like OSH are bound to fall victim. I hate to say this but I think that we all need to face the reality of the impact of this virus will have on humanity for months to come.
I feel like it's the situation of that VFR Pilot who continues to fly into deteriorating MVFR conditions, convinced that better weather is in just the next mile.
Hopefully you won't be under a CA/NY/Illinois style lockdown, otherwise you might even be able to do even that.I'll probably invite a couple of pilot buddies over to my house and make my traditional OSH margaritas and we'll all get drunk and talk about flying
One hopes! It'll be a distant memory by then...and no one will be washing their hands after using the port-a-pots.
Indeed! Is that some kind of data the MC might have available? It would be interesting to see the results of that poll based on when people voted, from last Saturday to now.
Possibly, but I am in no way the IT expert of the MC.Indeed! Is that some kind of data the MC might have available?
Farnborough was just cancelled 3/20/20Alaskan Airmen show was just cancelled, as well. Not looking so great for any type of gatherings this year.

if Sun n fun doesn’t go on ,the EAA will be desperate to have at least one show,to keep GA alive.
Yeah... I'm expecting a cancellation pretty soon. EAA just started having a big sale on their Airventure 2020 merchandise.
I ordered a T-shirt... At least I'll have that.
