A person used to be able to search by town to find all pilots nearby but I no longer see that option.
I would like to review the CFI-IA's in my area. Now it seems they will only let you search with a last name.
I failed at downloading the entire registry - my computer choked on it.
The "Registry" link LH side 404's.

The website www.city-data.com will let you do that search.

I use City-Data. Here's an example for Johnson City Tennessee:

Edit: I see tawwod uses the same and is a bit quicker on the clicker! It's all good.

FYI the City-Data website seems quite a few years behind. My info is showing before the last time I moved, which is about 3 years ago. Maybe it is because I've now blocked my current address from look up in the FAA data...?

yeah and city data does not cover my entire area; it does not report small towns or as far as I can see, people who live outside of town ie in the county. Really need to figure out the FAA data.

I don't even appear on city data, and I've lived in the same household and held the same pilot certificates for 20 years. And my address is not blocked by FAA either.
