Aircraft down at Hartford Brainard KHFD

This is one of my frequently visited airports. I was just there yesterday in fact. Initial reports was a Cherokee Six. I was very concerned because I'm in a Six partnership, but later it was referred to as a Lancair IV-P. Thankfully, this seems to be an injury only situation with no fatalities.

Judging from the burn marks on the grass, it's a good thing he was "ejected".

The source of that word was probably a responding law enforcement officer who spoke to the journalist. People are “ejected from” vehicles in many road crashes, which forms the basis for law enforcement responses to all kinds of crashes. It’s not nearly as cringeworthy for me as journalists reporting that a jury found someone “guilty” in a civil case.

N550LX. The pilot aborted his initial takeoff attempt at 2:30 on the below feed, reporting to tower "a little shimmy in my landing gear, I want to check it out." The accident occurred during his subsequent departure, beginning at 9:15 (no accident sounds recorded.)

FAA Registry lists this (N550LX) as a Turbo-Prop using a P&W T74-CP-700 engine. Not saying it is related - just interesting and unexpected.
