Always cool to get the cover of EAA Sport Aviation magazine! I shot these guys at Oshkosh this year. We were limited on time and it was really bumpy. These guys pulled it off though!

When I just quickly glanced, the angle and color of the water almost made it look like they were flying inverted for a second, lol. I thought the water was "blue sky".

Jack, just wondering what the photo ship was for this shoot? I know EAA has an older 210 with baggage door removed.

C.

Just got my copy of the magazine today, Jack. Very very nice!! Congratulations on making the cover!

These are the kind of photos that got me interested in flying. Great work! I never even thought about flying until a high school buddy took me in his Luscombe a couple of times and handed over a bunch of magazines with airplane photos like yours. Am sure you're introducing a bunch of new pilots into the fold.

Thanks for sharing this. I always hope my photos reach someone. The reason I post them here is because of the great feedback I get... sharing with like-minded pilots!

I grew up with two Uncles who were pilots, one of them ran an airport. I may have been the only kid who asked for subscriptions to Flying and Private Pilot magazines for my birthday. Now I mostly pay attention to the photos, but back then I read every article!

BTW, Jack, I think your photo on p.41 is even better, but of course the format wouldn’t have worked for a cover shot. It would make a beautiful centerfold, though!

Agree and thanks! I'll share more photos as soon as I can get them uploaded.
