Beautiful pictures. I love a picture of any Cessna RG especially looking up at them from below. Really cool to see them with the gear up.

Thank you all for the compliments! This was a great photo shoot and we timed it perfectly, getting some nice pics over the Little River, and ending back at Taylor for some sunset shots. As for the bridge, I try to get it in shots when I can and I thought we had missed it. Getting this slick 182RG slowed down enough to match up with our 170 was a bit of a challenge and I didn't want to circle back to get the bridge. Luckily we got it. Next time I'll start a little further down stream and make sure we're ready for it!

Wow Jack.

That sunset photo is outstanding! Great job framing it in the clouds with the beautiful sunset colors. You really have the eye.

I can learn the technical aspects of photography but I think the artistry is a wonderful gift and am envious of people like you that have it. I know it also takes a lot of planning and hard work as well but I think there are some things that can’t be taught that separates those that have it from those that don’t. You have it.

Thank you. I think we turned at least two full circles to get that shot! I had to figure out a way to keep our right wing up and get him in between us and the sun. Credit goes to both pilots for pulling it off... my photo pilot Donn Hopkins and Brent for performing so well in his first formation flight! I'm just the director.

I like them too, but see what the landing gear pivots cost.

What year is that plane? The cowl and nosebowl are different than my club’s plane.

Don't know what it ^^^^^ costs, but it's gotta be cheaper than new. I know several R182 owners, and none of them has ever had an issue, including one that has spent it's entire life ('79 model) on grass (the airplane, not the owner :)

Poll time, if I can figure out how to do it, on the frequency of the issue. I'm too lazy to go thru the accident reports. Hey Ron W.....got anything on this already in the bag?

Club's R182 had one go very early on, and we got in on the repair option not too long after it was approved. Cost was $4K and change. Cessna wanted $19K for a new one. :hairraise:

I’m definitely adding “magazine cover model” to my LinkedIn profile. Probably won’t help me in the tax accounting world, though.

The plane is an 85 model. Upgraded and basically rebuilt over the years with your tax dollars when it was owned by the FBI. They made some changes to it but the cowl is not something I’m aware of, except for the step they added. Great airplane, though.

It's easy to tell the ex-FBI airplanes...They're all painted in Ohio State colors! :)

PS- On ours, they also added a handle on top of the cowl to make it easier to use the 'new' step they put on. Very handy!

Mine has the handle, too!

Hey, that color goes over just as well in College Station as it does in Columbus.

Thanks for the info, and I’m glad you get to be the beneficiary of a well-maintained plane!

Ours is a ‘79, so there’s a few subtle differences.
