Air struts for Cessna 421b

Hi,

Is there any air strut kit to replace the metal hinges/support for the front baggage doors and the top cabin door?

Door Steward is who has STC for gas door struts.
I don't see one for a 421B?
Best to e mail them and ask them.

I had thought the Cessna 400 series had gas struts for the upper cabin doors? However, maybe talk with your mechanic about installing some generic struts where you want them. Even if there are kits available sometimes it can be cheaper to install your own and can even fall under a minor alteration depending on where the strut needs to be mounted.

$29.68 from Amazon for both front baggage doors. Had to enlarge two holes for the ball studs. Took 30 minutes. I’m sure you can find an STC for 1 AMU or so if you prefer.

BTW the top cabin door and nacelle doors are bigger challenges that I have not yet tackled.
