Has anyone changed their aircraft air filter due to the smoke. How about the instrument or vacuum filter.

Probably a very good idea I think if you have been out flying in it. Lots of particulates floating around........

I've been changing the filter in the house every couple weeks since the fires started. I did see blue sky for part of the afternoon one day this week. But horizontal vis is hazy to 5 miles, total obscure past 10. Strange, tho, vertical vis is fine, clouds at 15-20k. We're in ozone alert every day this week, which is wierd. It's usually in January. Really made Young Eagle rallye this past weekend disappointing. Great flying, no mountains to see. Not even downtown Denver.

The layer today in the valley was about 2000 to 6000, much better than the last few days where it was 2.5 miles vis at the nearest reporting airport

We've had a brisk 8-12 mph westerly flow going ,most of the day and are now clear.
