I met the owners of the 182A at 8:00 AM & flew her home at 14:00 hours. Not too bad. The longest wait was making sure my wire transfer got deposited in their account.

The airplane did great flying home. All the avionics worked well & we averaged 130knots but did have a tailwind. GPH turned out to be 9.65. Not too shabby for 5,500 feet.

The Columbia Gorge was very bumpy & not very fun for my new-to-aviation wife. She said she' get used to it.

I'm looking forward to no more renting beat up airplanes & having to keep up currentcy to be able to rent. It will be strange not having to account to an FBO when I'll have their plane back.

Freedom!

It's an awesome feeling having your own airplane in your name and hanger.

Counting the months until I return to the owners ranks.

Congrats!!

It's nice to know the maintenance history on 'your' plane. It's also nice to find everything exactly as you left it, clean and ready to go when you want to. My Bride loves our plane, although it's just another mode of transportation to her, the travel time benefit is appreciated. I hope you and you wife enjoy the new ride!

NICE! That's about as fast as my 177 will go and I might be burning more gas to go that fast!

Big Congrats @saddletramp, sounds like you bagged a winner. I still miss my Cherokee 180 and having to deal with FBO's and currency and crappy rental aircraft that are overpriced and under-maintained is a reason I don't fly much anymore.

Hope you and your wife have many happy years with that plane.

Congrats man! Glad everything worked out for you

Congrats!

Feels great when you get back to your home (renters) drome with your own plane, enjoy!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Saddletramp! I hope you have many, many hours of safe and trouble free flying.

congrats, and congrats on being based at a gorgeous airport! I did my long, long solo CC over the weekend to WW and think you guys are in a pretty sweet spot.

Congratulations. I hope you enjoy your new ride. Looks very nice from the pics you posted previously.
