Aerobatic training day at the farm

I posted about this on the purple board and on my Facebook page, but thought I'd post it here, since the other two Citabrias will be at Gaston's for a few days, and Paul *may* come down in his Super Decathlon and continue training Bruce and Bill down there. He is also insured for TW instruction.

We had a fly-in of sorts at Twin Oaks on Saturday. Paul Thomson flew his SuperD down from Kansas City to give aerobatic instruction to some of us Citabria pilots. It was a bit (a lot!) windy Saturday, but people came anyway and it was a good day of flying, visiting, and grilled hamburgers.

Thanks to Paul for coming down.

Bruce and Bill and I are trying to get Paul to come down to Gaston's, at least for a day.

I see Paul and his Decathlon around here all the time. You have some good pictures, but his plane always looks so much better in person, it's a nice looking airplane.

It really is a beauty. He had some issues troubleshooting a maintenance problem, so it was down for several months, but they found the problem and it's working great now. I think he is looking forward to competing again this year.
