En-Route
(Well, there is, at the end.)
It's been 4.5 years since I sold my camera store(inventory and fixtures, but not the corp. entity). However, I frequently meet pipple(typo - sounds like Desi Arnaz) on the street who ask what I'm doing and, "Do you miss the store?"
Recently, after attending a production of Les Miserables, I was outside the theater and talking to Dennis St. Pierre(the lead), a long-time acquaintance, when a fellow approached in the late evening, extended his hand and said, "I've missed you; those women in your old store don't know anything." I was so glad to again see noted Broadway -- and Philadelphia -- actor, John-Charles Kelly, who's been a mainstay at Maine State Music Theater for 18 summers. It's nice to be remembered.
So yesterday, up here in the trees there was a knock on my door, a rare occasion. It was Richard Hasenfus. He hadn't been sure where I live in this his boyhood town, but had successfully inquired and wanted advice on purchasing a digital camera. We had a very nice visit whereas we would normally cross paths a few times a year. Richard Hassenfus????????????
Google him; you'll get a bunch of hits including http://www.thewrightgallery.com/hasenfus.html. (Read his bio.)
I like retirement, but remembering rates on a par.
I was going to fly today but I think I'll wait until tomorrow and overfly Bath Iron Works and get some shots during the christening of the USS Meyer.
