All I can say after seeing the plane is... Wow! What a beautiful plane!

I planned to leave for Oshkosh on Friday. Austin (@Mtns2Skies) reached out to me and asked me if I was interested in coming a day early to shoot his plane. Yep, I did!

Austin and Amanda (@Mtns2SkiesBetterHalf) are both amazing people and invited us to stay with them, which made it all possible. I really had a great time!

Now all we needed was a nice backdrop... good thing they keep the plane right next to the Wisconsin River!

Best photos ever!

(Cuz they didn't have Texas in the background)

:happydance:

@Mtns2Skies should serve a ban due to having aircraft of much higher caliber than the PoA crowd. They can return to the forum after they've scuffed up the paint or cracked a wheel pant (he'd have to install wheel pants first lol).

Truly remarkable example of a C180.

Right. We cannot possibly attain his level, so the only answer is to cut him down to ours. Equity, y'know.....

Now that I've had some time to digest Jacks pictures... I think the most amazing thing that Jack was able to capture that you see in the real world - but not in photos (except his) is how the paint can be two-tone depending on the light. It's a pleasure flying with Jack (and hosting him :) ), and the photos he puts together are just unreal. Thanks again Jack!

It's a beautiful plane, clearly well loved and looked after. You must have spent some time on a creeper getting the belly so clean!

I really enjoyed meeting you two and flying with you. This was one of the highlights of our trip! Thanks for inviting me up!

I would also agree that Jack takes outstanding photographs and would also second the motion of making a coffee table book with his collection. I have no idea the actual costs involved in publishing or work involved to put one together in terms of editing but I would think it would offer some amazing General Aviation pictures.
