Pop music band The Village People celebrate their 30th anniversary with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in California on Sept.12

As my father would say about Lawerence Welk, "they don't make music like that any more"

It looks to me like many of those guys are just taking up the same space as the originals.

I wonder if they ever mention how when they were on the way out, they tried to start a new hip trend by all dressing up as frilly King Louis XIV dandies like Adam Ant/Tremain and claiming this was the newest thing. They unveiled that look on Tom Snyder. :D Obviously, it caught on like wildfire.

guys standing around in the background don't seem to be as jazzed up about it as the village people folks are!

You know the way that Star thing works is you pay $3000 for it.

It probably took them 30 years to save up the 3K.

They want you, they want you, they want you as a new recruit.

"dooo da dooooo....doo dooo da doo dododo!"

It looks like the flying club at 10C! :D

Hey, what happened to the Navy dude? Now he's wearing desert cammo?

Thread hijack: Scott - I just noticed your picture in your profile - is that a brush with greatness? I could swear that N359ES is the N number Skyhawk used by John and Martha in my instrument course. I'll have to pay attention next time I fire the DVDs up.

Where the hell did the Marine and Aussie come from? I think you're right, I remember something about the Four Horsemen led by a gay Marine and a sheep shagger....

It is the King Video plane. I ran into it at Las Vegas. It was available for rent but I did not have any of my stuff with me. It owuld have been fun to log an hour or two in it.

"Y....MCA".

"Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the ground.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
