A sad day for aviation

Curtis Pitts died this afternoon. He had heart surgery to replace a valve and caught pneumonia. He was a true legend and, though I never had the chance to meet him, was said to be a great guy as well. Lower your windsocks to half staff.

Very sad news. My dad knew Pitts many years ago.
