This guy has 13 monitors connected to one instance of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Note the row of tower PC cases under the table.

What goes unsaid here is how much heat he must have. I get enough heat from the single tower and the two 20" monitors on mine to keep that corner of the room toasty (winter) or stuffy (summer). He must have a furnace in the face.

With what he spent on computer equipment, he could hav elearned to fly for REAL!!!

No kidding, in our basement we have 4 computers up and running and it gets warm down there if we don't set up fans to help exchange the air with the cooler parts of the house. This guy had better have a Room AC set up...

Still.. I'd live to try that configuration! :D

All that effort and he's still blind as a bat on the base-final turn with the runway above the monitors.

I can't find the link right now but there are lots of people out there doing that. One guy had something like 25 huge flat screen monitors and a wooden mockup of a 737 flight deck. Many switches were functioning (he put assorted switches in the right places - I guess he took a keyboard apart for that one)

Flying for real is cheaper and much more fun.

That is a serious addiction. Almost as bad as owning a real airplane.

Worse, no matter where he flys, he always ends up in the same damned room!

Well, I always end up in the same old hangar. :D

Is it my imagination or is that a helicopter? Maybe his setup IS cheaper than learning to fly [a helo]!

Probably is cheaper than a helo. LOL! But, then again, so are NASA moon shots.

Still, there must be a better way to get the flight experience the cobbling up 13 computer monitors. Can't he get IMAX or something? :)

Never know perhaps he can't get a medical or lost his medical and this is the next best thing for him.

Could be. More power to him (he'll need it, hope its not PECO rates).

Adam, you're such a nice guy. :)

It's an ultralight. Some of these guys get very "into" it, building their own motion bases and everything. There is a site that sells all the electronics and the "know-how" knowledge of how to do it:
