A greeser Landing

That was cool, I've never seen one land like that before, but usually the water is rougher when I see one land.

I like that left wing low approach with the left foot drag before the sliding belly landing!

Was there a mate around somewhere to show off for? Perhaps ... just having fun!

Looks like a male Mallard duck to me, but I'm no expert.

It is indeed a mallard duck. Notice ring around neck among a bunch of other differences
 
It is neither a Duck nor a Goose. It is a Loon.

Of all the water fowl, the Loon is my favorite. Their call is absolutely beautiful and can be a bit haunting right around sunset.

I have a video of the 2 near me calling out and trilling. Don't have it hosted though, or I'd load it.
