From what I recall, all of the performance numbers were insane except range. Short take off, 4k fpm climb, 300kts cruise. Fuel tanks are too small. 3 hrs range or something at max cruise?

Once while going through security (back when I was flying the Navajo) I was chatting with the guy in line ahead of me who was a ferry pilot going to pick up a Duke.

i said “Oh man, those engines are so bad that I have to disavow ever having worked for the company that disavowed ever having made them.”

He laughed.
