Planning on a day trip tomorrow, if the...

Sorry, I can't finish the sentence until tomorrow without angering the gods.

Same here - we will not be able to make it up there this afternoon.
We're now hoping for tomorrow and that we can stay until Sunday morning.

Btw. 1: Is the runway at 6Y9 getting soft when it is wet?

Btw. 2: Is windshear at 2000 ft at 35 kts bad?:cool::mad:

Did anyone make it? Looks like an ugly weekend both for flying and camping.

We’ve already got 5 planes here for the fly-in! 2 Comanches, a Rans, a Cherokee, and a Cessna 140.
Airplane #6 (RV) showed up Saturday evening.
Friday was marginal for VFR at least some of the day - I was driving through rain showers between Trout Lake and Seney - cleared up for the dash across the ever popular Seney Stretch - but a couple airplanes made it in (the 140 (flew in from North Fox Island) and second Comanche).
Camping wasn't bad at all. Rain Friday night (thunderstorm in the middle of the night), but warm. Didn't seem to be too windy (unless I slept through it.)
About 15 minutes of rain on Saturday ('round noon) and a little around midnight (if there was more, it didn't wake me up).
The Rans hopped some rides Saturday and made a trip down to Land of Lakes - decent for most of the day - I must say that the Rans was a nice looking design with some nice features - moved to #1 on my "If I ever build an airplane myself" list. Glad I got a chance to look at it closely.
Sunday AM was pretty grey - particularly over the eastern U.P.
