50:1 longshot wins Kentucky Derby

I saw that... just a measly hundred bucks on that pony would pay for a very nice weekend in the Bluegrass State.

I missed the race. How did the Jockey come across this year?

Sitting down about a head behind the horse. ;)
:P :D

I was thinking about the guy last year who was actually pretty intelligent but the way he talked, it was pretty certain he was hidden in the Kentucky back hills for a good part of his life. I think he even had all his teeth!

This year the guy was a little hard to understand because he was so excited.

The horse was originally bought for $9,500 and beat horses costing millions. Truly amazing. That jockey road another great race.

That last move on the rail was pure Top Gun, "gutsiest move I ever saw" kind of stuff.

He did the exact same thing on another horse and won the Kentucky Derby a few years ago. They showed a clip of that race and then the recent one and it was the same move, perfectly executed. Both times he had the horses looking like a running back blasting through holes barely big enough to get through along the rail. Amazing. I know people that bet the jockey more than the horse in some instances. This guy is really, really good.
