And why are you obscuring the N number in one photo when you can pick it up in other photos? Just curious.
 
That one photo was one that I modified a long time ago for another post. I just used it cause I had it available.

If you could post a picture of how they mounted it, that would be appreciated. A close-up would be fantastic. I think there is a something out there to 3D print an adapter for it for this airplane.

I don't see a problem with that installation and I like that the unit is fully contained, except for the antenna of course, within the lens. The unit itself is fully weatherproof and the lens cutout is on the bottom so any water will drain and the cutout can be made cleanly. That said, I will likely go with a more conventional option for my AA-1.
