Well, here goes. One of the nicest examples out there. Many here have seen it...ask them!

The annual inspection and ADS-B install will be completed later this month by North-Scout Aviation in Kirksville, MO. I've only used Jon once for an annual, a few years ago (2017) when I was working in Kirksville. He and his crew did a great job. I'm sure he'd be happy to perform a pre-buy at the same time for any interested party. It should be reasonable since the plane will already be apart.

I always thought your airplane was one of the best examples of the early 182's
 
Very, very nice. I've got some things going on in my life where I shouldn't spend money... but that's the plane I've been wanting for a photo plane.

If we were closer, I'd ask you to join me in a photo shoot for Cessna Owner magazine. Looks like around 450ish miles.
 
Good luck in the sale! If I didn't have a plane, I'd seriously look at this one, she looks great! IIRC, the engine was done by Gann, correct?
 
Nice! When I first saw "exceptionally clean" I thought, 'yeah yeah, so says everyone' but then looking at the pics, it looks like a show plane!

Well...

...it should be quite obvious that I don't buy into the teachings of one certain A&P who advocates that you simply keep your plane patched together...until it dies...or kills you...whichever comes first.

Homie don't play that.

Tim I did not. But your missive was somewhat cryptic, and you are a valued friend, even if we don't meet face to face often. So I ask. I'm not a huge stuff person either, and I have far more than I like. Part of being married. But the stuff isn't who I am. Actually, I think if the younger me met the older me the younger me would be impressed. I've achieved all my goals short of becoming an Astronaut, and not attempting to do that is one of my very few regrets.

I guess I'm supposed to say 'congratulations', but somehow this makes me sad: I guess this means no more meeting you at 6Y9 anymore. :(

Anyway, the buyer will get a beautiful plane in great condition! :)

I heard the news this morning. I think it was a very wise decision and I'm looking forward to flying in that beautiful plane again!

A friend of mine is buying it. I went up there with him to meet Tim and check out the plane. I got to fly it while there and it flies as nice as it looks. Hoping to bring it home to T74 soon!
 
Who is going to clear the wildlife off of the runway at 6Y9?

A day of congratulations and sadness. Tim, glad your sale went through but you won't find another Skylane like that one.

no doubt. The old adage of "the two happiest days of a man's life..." definitely doesn't apply here. It will be with great sadness when I fly her for the last time and then watch her go. But it's time to turn the page.

All I have to say is that if I see you start a thread titled something like "Air to Air of a 1958 Straight Tail 182" then I get FREE HIGH QUALITY COPIES OF THE PHOTOS!!!

LOL, of course you do! Maybe when you come down to visit, we can do a shoot with you and Travis both in the plane!
