1946 C-140 • $36,000 • FLY RIGHT NOW • TTAF: 3034 SMOH: 789 Compressions: 79, 78, 78, 75. Turnkey aircraft, flies regularly. No expense spared on maintenance (for real). Since I have owned the plane...New elevator and rudder cables. New rear bulkhead (new Cessna part). Rebuilt Stromberg carburetor. New Maule tailwheel and springs. Many other discrepancies resolved. Excellent logs, ADs/337s all good and legal. Stratus ADSB in/out. Spin on oil filter. Fabric great and wings primed underneath fabric. No corrosion. Original wheel pants in excellent condition. $36,000

Nice airplane!

Pre-Covid these were about 25k?
 
That is three times what I paid for mine and is completely unaffordable, but it sure is nice!
 
Nice pic at first flight, with the monument in the background.

Work done at the best shop around, but they are pricy. You get what you pay for. Our club sent several repairs there, always completely satisfied with quality of work, and time to complete.

The pre buy should have no issues.

a plane like that would be fun, but I'd hate to tie an old classic ragwing down outside....and with no hangars available around here I don't even daydream about it.....

Pet peeve.....why do folks write stuff like "Zero Corrosion" in an add? You know good and well there is corrosion on pretty much any used airplane ...and on this one I can see corrosion right there on the yokes!!!
 
Just trying to learn, I dont see in the pics how it came up to be a 13k annual. Not being a jerk, really just interested in learning. Was it the bulkhead part?

Yes, IIRC the bulkhead was a few AMU and so was the bulkhead labor.
