Wings of Carolina Flying Club will be hosting a Runway Reopening Celebration on November 9th. We have a fun-filled day of activities planned for everyone.
We will start the day with a spot landing and flour drop competition (something the club has not done in at least 25 years). What a great way to knock the rust off and get back in a plane than to try your accuracy at something new. The competition will run from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. There is no cost to enter other than the hobbs time you are flying the plane. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
Lunch will be catered by Ron's Barn BBQ. Chopped BBQ / fried chicken, boiled potatoes / slaw, hush puppies, and tea / lemonade. If all this food were not enough, banana pudding for desert. Lunch will cost $12 per plate. Hot dogs will be provided for kids at no charge. We have set up a website to purchase tickets.

Live music will play from 11:00 - 1:30 PM. The band Shouda Known Better will make this event a true party. They will be playing a mix of classic rock, top 40 country, southern rock & more. Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes! And for the kids, we will have a large combo bounce house so they can jump and bounce till they drop.
