If I'm one of those passengers and am now on the ground, I could not care less if he had or didn't have any previous experience.

The news never gets things 100% right. Mostly, they don't even get things even close. And I'm not speaking from a conservative/liberal perspective, I'm just talking about basic simple facts. The times when I've been involved in local stories that went national, where I was involved with the people doing whatever work was newsworthy, the news people mostly got it wrong.

Sadly, that is my experience, too.

I’ve only taken a handful of people flying. At least one of them showed pretty genuine interest in what we were doing pre-flighting, radios, how the controls worked and what not. I have no problem believing he probably could’ve got the aircraft safely back on the ground had I passed out on that flight.

I suspect after landing it was about 8 minutes throttle to bottle.
