med exam

I took my son for his medical exam, due to him being on a very low dose of zoloft the Dr. Said he would needs the HIMS neurological exam. Is this normal? It's very cost prohibitive and I feel discriminatory, he has zero depression or anything that would ground a pilot. I understand the...
