    B17 crash at Dallas.

571 pages of interviews in docket will have you shaking your head. Noteworthy are short on scene interviews with all. Also noteworthy is later extensive interviews with excruciating extent with almost all. One telling missing later interview is with fighter lead. I guess he didn't want to talk...

    B17 crash at Dallas.

I was an IP on the wing of a T-38 2 ship with a solo lead when an TA-4 blew right by what would have been 3's position. Solo lead and the A-4 didn't see each other and we lived to see our girlfriends that night. Why is the analysis about what the P-63 could see. He should have been looking at...

    B17 crash at Dallas.

So lead put his wingman in a vulnerable position or 3 decided to not fly formation on lead? Goatrope. Why is NTSB calling that a formation yet saying the p-63 didn't see the B-17? If it was a formation 3, the P-63, should have been looking at lead and maintaining his formation position. Total...

    B17 crash at Dallas.

I don't think the P-63 was in trail when he hit the B-17. Might call it extended trail which would allow some more lateral displacement. Where did lead think his wingmen would be relative to him?

    B17 crash at Dallas.

That would be a 3 ship formation in echelon or fingertip. But what formation position was the P-63 in when he hit the B-17?

    B17 crash at Dallas.

Why is that fighter gaggle called a "formation"? What "formation" position was the P63 pilot holding? The whole thing was a goatrope. As was Reno.

    DHL Fatal in Lithuania, 11/25

Off topic, it's surprising they had the ILS in service at Presque Isle in 2019. Way back in the 70s and 80s we always reverted to the NDB at DTW the first few hours of snow and snow removal. Other than the sim those were the only NDBs we flew on the line.

    Cessna 340A pressurization question

I suspect the cabin pressure became the outside pressure because the turbos could not provide enough flow to pressurize. But it seems like a moot point. Once the cabin is at the aircraft's altitude both are coming down at the same rate. Here I digress, Barberpole liked to start TOD in the 72 at...

Chuck Coleman Crash - Las Cruces

I'm thinking it looks like he can turn the corner. But I wonder how the Extra and the G-1 that hit the lake wings talk to you.

Chuck Coleman Crash - Las Cruces

New guy can't post link. Go to Famous Top Gun Pilot Dies in Plane Crash on Youtube by Brian Murray. Second tumble on Sunday seemed to take longer than the one on Saturday.

Nan Chang CJ-6A mid-air LA County

Over lead's path but then a continuing roll to 120 degrees bank back toward him. Prelim is lacking details probably because they were not forthcoming.

Nan Chang CJ-6A mid-air LA County

NTSB Prelim is out. New guy can't post link. Strange brief of braking out of the formation. I confess to doing one barrel roll rejoin once and did not like the off angle to end up in fingertip. The description sounds like some kind of roll around lead.
