Most challenging Airstrips in the PNW

I have visited many strips in the past years while flying in the PNW, this are the most challenging ones I have landed at. All of them in the Cessna 182, except for the last one.

    Gauge indication, or real issue?

Well that gauge saved me 4 years ago after the engine was just overhauled, I took off, third flight and at 1,000ft the oil pressure started to drop, I turned around head back to the airport psi continued to drop, it showed zero when I touched down. We had to open the engine, there was no damage...

    Gauge indication, or real issue?

Digital oil pressure gauge started to go down and up, it never went below green. Could it be indication of some engine trouble or just instrument glitch? I also have an analogue gauge and that one did not move at all.

How tough are Cessnas? Watch some rough landing areas they can go to.

I get impressed and how tough Cessnas are, the 182 and 170B I fly have mods for the backcountry, those planes perform and can take a beating without issues at all, here I show some very rough landing areas, big rocks, dry mud, uneven surfaces, enjoy!

    Cessna 170B, tight landing

I use PC, if you want the most realistic simulator try the warbirds in DCS, good practice for tailwheel, much better than any plane in MSFS.

    Cessna 170B, tight landing

I am a flight simmer too, Carenado makes horrible flight models, good graphics onlt, I have their 170 and flies horrible. In the real 170 To avoid bouncing, just come slower and add a bit of power to stop the sink rate prior to touch down. Practice slow flight at altitude lots of it, that gives...

    Oil pressure indication acting up

Cessna 182, Continental O470, 50hrs since overhaul. Has been working flawless until the last flight oil pressure started acting up. Sensor failure? Loose connector? Any other ideas? ' Sensor was replaced at OH so its only a few months old.

    Cessna 170B, tight landing

Probably one of my most challenging landings, narrow approach with an S turn at slow speeds into a short gravel bar, was pretty exciting, I also show the safety precautions for this operations and examples of other landings, hope you enjoy.

Quick STALL RECOVERY technique that could be a LIFE SAVER

Probably because of a second stall will get you into a spin and teaching this technique to students can be risky. I learned this at an advanced pilot training course at Bush AIr, from CC who has won many awards from FAA as an outstanding instructor. I am not an instructor or invented this...

Quick STALL RECOVERY technique that could be a LIFE SAVER

WARNING , NON INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO! Learned this technique while training at BUSH AIR in Nevada, stall recovery with minimum altitude loss, most stalls happen in the pattern, if you are going to loose 1,000ft to recover its too late, with this technique you loose between 30 to 150 ft, so either...

    Optimum CG test

This is a test that is totally worth doing, most planes fly with a forward CG, and you need to compensate with power and elevator on approaches or during turns, need to add power and trim all the way back to avoid running out of elevator at slow speeds, this will make your plane fly beautiful, I...

Best advanced pilot training? Bush Air.

I read the books and learned a lot, came to Bush Air for the level 2 course, and was blown away, most likely the best advanced flight training for GA pilots in the world. Why do I think this? Because it is complete, and real word scenario training, unusual attitudes maneuvers, spins, recovery...
