Can I get 1st class medical if I have been to a mental facility

Wouldn’t this qualify for the 10 year recovery life test where if no meds, symptoms and treatment for 10 years and he could apply, so 7 years from now. Of course then would have to do the psych evals and what not. and obviously no recurrence.

Can I get certified medically if I am diagnosed Bipolar, but not to a dangerous degree?

Find a school with a motorglider. I'm grounded for the same thing. Found a motorglider school with an aircraft that at the time could have been certificated as a glider or an airplane and did 10 hours before running out of money and then the school closed down. Flew just like the regular...

Traverse Air Multi-Engine Rating with Tom Brady

Not really on topic but I remember my first flight in a twin. I was working on commercial single and was invited by my CFI to sit back seat in a Seminole during his other students lesson. They did a bunch of engine out stuff and I thought there was no way I’d ever attempt a ME add on. 3 months...

Created application on FAA MedXpress but never went to AME appointment. Can I still get SPL with DL?

I’m too lazy to go back and link the thread, but new guidelines state you can be issued in office for anxiety if you’ve been off meds for 2 years with no recurrence.

    DPE PPL price

In 2005, I was paying $87 wet for a PA28, $30 for the instructor, and I think the DPE was $250 in CT. Commercial and multi was I think 350 in CA, and Mei and CFII were either 500 or 600 in NV

Neuropsychological/ Psychologist Testing from Anxiety/ Mild Depression/ Panic Disorder

I don’t think the new policy would be applicable since you list 3 conditions, and the new policy is for a max of two. And when you go to the AME guidance, panic disorder is not on thr acceptable diagnosis list. Also it is for situational depression, if your depression is MDD, even if mild, it...

    Fibbing on FAA medical application

true but by then the medical should have expired and I was under the impression from other posts that the FAA doesn’t suspend or revoke expired certificates. I could be wrong though

    Mental Health advice

Dana mentioned light sport, and if you don’t want to commit a year and thousands of dollars for certification I would tend to agree. Just know that if you attempt certification and it ends up denied for whatever reason, light sport is no longer an option. And you have to self certify, if for...

I’d also post this on Jetcareers if you haven’t already done so. They have a 2 page thread on Airline Pilots and Mental Health in their Ask A Flight Surgeon forum.

    Cessna 150 (N1701Q) near Cleburne, 1 fatal.

The Faa database has him. Don’t put the city or state in and the pilot pops up. All that’s listed is a student certificate from September. Very sad.

General Question Over DUI, Form 8500-8, Form 8710-11

Like Dana said, you can always fly gliders or ultralights without a medical. There are motorgliders out there that could have been registered as airplanes but got registered as gliders and fly very similarly to airplanes but with the gliding performance profile of, well, gliders. Capable...
