    Anybody invested in Crypto?

You suckers that bought Bitcoin 2 years ago at $20,000 are probably regretting now? Could be worse, just a year ago you could have bought NIVIDIA stock (NVDA) that makes the chips that run the senseless software supporting these ponzi-scheming technologies at $17.00. Thanks for the investment...

    Winter is coming…

This is what winter looks like on a Toasty 15* Fahrenheit 4 hour day. Until next March the days are not much longer then 4-5 hours. Salt water freezes about 15*F so it's tough to get Mail/Supplies out to the towns that only have docks.

    Where should a beginner start???

Welcome Aboard, It's great to see your interest in flying. On my 16th birthday I was at the DMV taking my drivers test. Six months later drove to the nearest airport asked where do I learn to fly? The pilots told me to go to an airport 30 miles away. I commuted three times a week for lessons...

Just a quick tip... if the mechanic's name is Jack Daniels or Jim Beam maybe the entries are falsified. Maybe?

Insight Wanted: Survey on Catastrophic Oil Leak Detection

I'm told that the college age students today are all computer whizzes. They use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for everything (I watch TV ya know). The aviation industry can use your expertise in simplifying our most complicated challenges. The biggest challenges in the Aviation industry is...

Insight Wanted: Survey on Catastrophic Oil Leak Detection

I took the survey... Not sure oil leak detection is much of a safety concern with reasonable preventative practices.

    Annual Inspection Paperwork

This aircraft's mechanic produces a new updated spreadsheet each year like this one. There's enough information here to help reconstruct lost Aircraft Records. There's another page that has things like Tires, Spark plugs, brakes, vacuum system components, avionics backup batteries and many...

New Lycoming AD for connecting rod assemblies

I'm not sure I understand the "Moss Interpretation" but, it was taking 43.3(a) to the extreme. Including an A&P Student and Owner/Operator Preventive Maintenance privileges. The Savvy videos I watched, they said that only an A&P could do inspections in person as per the "Moss Interpretation"...

New Lycoming AD for connecting rod assemblies

After that silly "Moss Interpretation" it's great to see that the FAA stands behind Owner/Operator Maintenance. Normally it's regarded that only an A&P mechanic can do an oil screen/filter "Inspection". This fresh off the press A.D. shows that a qualified Owner/Operator can read a service...

Past Service Bulletins - Best Approach?

Writing as an owner..., telling me that my aircraft is junk and the previous mechanics are bad doesn't help. Myself and other owners like @WDD are looking for solutions and best practices. I'm looking to you A&Ps with 50 years experience for advice not ridicule. What should we do to make our...

Past Service Bulletins - Best Approach?

This regulation should be printed on every aircraft 'Bill-Of-Sale'. It does not say that you do the maintenance. It says that you as Owner/Operator know what maintenance needs done and direct the mechanic. Other-words, you should join up with other Owners and "KNOW YOUR AIRCRAFT". 'Type Clubs'...
