I did my private training in one. They are built very solid. Slow and steady was great for me as a student.

The flight school I rent from this year requires a minimum of 50K renters ins. I only have about 100hrs (not instrument rated) and it costs me about $550 for 60K.

I have a mini 5 without cellular and it works great. I have experienced overheating using it with a knee board mount. I use a yoke mount now and make sure a vent is blowing on it.

Was curious to know how useful is Airnav's operations per day stat for determining how busy an airport is? Also I have seen some uncontrolled fields with over 200/day and towered fields at around 60/day. How is the need for a tower determined?
