    CLT airspace

If it’s VFR, can’t you just go over the top from W to E and not talk to anyone?

What's the advantage of pushrod controls?

The main difference is at annual. Pushrods are way easier to lube and you don’t have to check tension. Probably saves $45 / year in labor.

Trent Palmer (YouTuber Bush Pilot Channel) Suspended By FAA

Right. Google maps is going to show the ground hog holes or errant rake / rut left in the field hours earlier? Same with the car…yes it would be useful but anything can change the moment you leave. A low pass is the only way to visually establish if it is safe to land at that moment in...

    Engine failure at night

Fields, roads and golf courses…if you use FlyQ or Foreflight setup the satellite view layer and you will have a better chance at finding one of the above emergency landing locations at night.

    Chapel Hill Airport impending closure.

The only solution is to take control of your own freedom to fly by buying some land and keeping a nice 2000’ lawn.

Leaded gas and the EPA...here it comes

Right now I’m the coolest kid on the block because I get to burn leaded gas that smells great. Without the lead I’m gonna loose cool points. I wonder what the new GAMI stuff smells like. I hope it’s not like mogas that stinks you up for days after a spill.

VGs do they work? We interview an expert.

As I get older I get fatter and my takeoff and landing numbers suffer. I should probably start adding a few VGs each year to keep my numbers in check.

Next step up in capability after an RV?

Thx for this info. besides roll rate, doesn’t the C also give up a bit of inverted flight ease? Regardless, is it a significant step up in overall acro capability from the RV or more of a baby step? they seem to be well priced.

Cessna 182 Door Mounted window replacement

First, I did. It says drill rivets as needed but doesn’t say how extensive the job is. Second, yes. Great Lakes Aero Products makes them and has the STC.

Next step up in capability after an RV?

I’ve got acro time in a Decathlon but am looking for something more responsive and probably single place for affordability. I also have time in an Extra 300L which is more in line with what I want in terms of handling. It seems like a single hole Pitts may be the best combo of affordability and...

Cessna 182 Door Mounted window replacement

I’m thinking of replacing the passenger door window on my 182 with one that has a camera port so that it can be flown open in the summer for better ventilation. Looking at the door, it seems like a LOT of rivets are going to have to be drilled, replaced, then paint touched up. Is that the case...
