Adjustment to solve Century II hunting in roll?

A flight adjust should always be performed after an attitude gyro "change" and is very likely to correct that issue. I can help there also! A slow dutch roll can be caused by a few things, If offsetting the rudder settles the oscillation, it it is "loading" the system to one side. This means...

That looks like a remote cable type set up there, I would guess it ties that indicator to a large box that crunches God knows what information.

I'm still looking for that picture, finally came across this old jewel. I was in Grand Junction for decades, I now live in Michigan to get away from the heat and close to the water.

I believe that gyro model number is DH 841A. If you knew how the servos work in an M4D system you would understand some of the reliability issues.. That's a cool old relic in good shape, what is it?

    Want to upgrade this PTT.

Obviously installed aftermarket, you will probably destroy it to remove it. Grab it with a pair of duckbill pliers and pull it out, you'll probably need to cut some tyraps to allow the wire length needed to pull it out and work with it. I would suggest twisting it back and forth before pulling...

C-182 Yoke - What is This?

That picture is of a sixties vintage Cessna, my best guess. Before the ribbon cables were used I believe. I always preach using a quality "curly cord" instead of replacing the "concealed wiring providing unrestricted movement of the yoke" that has been a pain in the keister for every Cessna...

C-182 Yoke - What is This?

What does the top of that yoke horn look like, what year is the aircraft, and what autopilot is installed? Does it have manual electric trim?

Why does it have to be endorsed by the FAA to be a good idea. Personally I think the FAA is rather incompetent I remember a time when an FAA guy would nearly faint when he would see how far we were into a project, they would step away with very few questions. I learned to stage it for the...

Very well stated, I've seen plenty of fuses fail without blowing. I've collected enough gently used pullable aircraft breakers to replace the fuse holders in my offshore boat, now if I just had the time...

A circuit breaker is far more convenient to reset, and yes it should be replaced after the offending component that tripped it enough to justify it, is remedied. I just had a Client equate the cost of a repair I assisted him with to "a tank of gas", he was elated. Maintaining a breaker under...
