I’m in the early stages of researching donating a kidney. Among all the questions I will have. How will this affect my medical? I’m currently flying under basic med. BM probably makes it less of an issue. Does anyone have any input or experience in this matter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does any claim pilot n paws expenses on your taxes? Has there ever been any push back from accountants or the IRS? If I do claim it is it legal in the FAA’s eye for a non commercial rated pilot to do so? I Rent so it’s just the rental cost I’m curious about.

I flew once at St Pete Air in St. Petersburg which Isn’t to far from Clearwater.My wife and I were in the area for a medical reason and had an afternoon open and called them up and we were flying in less than an hour.
