(n/a) lost keys, phone number on keychain a bad idea?

While I wouldn't worry about a cell number too much, if you want the same features but a layer of anonymity just get a google voice number, and print that on the tag. Then setup google voice to auto forward to your cell number. The only downside of this is GV recycles numbers so you might get...

    [NA] Extending fiber optic line?

fyi cat6 under 300 ft can easily handle 10Gbps, so you should be good. Just get good quality terminators for the cat ends. For extending fiber is pretty easy but running CAT cable is easier and less prone to issues.

[NA] I don't understand One Drive

Try Synology Drive with their C3 cloud service, you set the encrytpion key and if you loose it data is gone.

    Flamping... Sort of

The Vashon Ranger is actually designed with this in mind. Saw it setup as a sleeping platform one Osh. From their website "Both seats fold forward 90 degrees for your weekend camping adventure, creating a space big enough to actually sleep in"

Thinking about... buying a new TV

Just went through the same thing 2 weeks ago, I just bought a 70" version of one of these https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/qled-4k-tvs/85-class-qled-4k-qe1c-qn85qe1cafxza/ and hooked it up to a Roku. Overall pretty impressed for the price, image quality is very good, (had...

N/A Replacement garage door keypad with "smart" features?

I use one of these https://www.wyze.com/products/wyze-garage-door-controller Basically its a camera and little box that attaches to almost any garage door opener. Have one on my Hangar rollup door and home door. Works well, does not need a subscription (free plan works fine on it) and even has...

    European Skyvector/VFR Maps?

Unfortunately there is no official free source as none of the involved governments publish their charts online like the FAA. The best I found for Europe is https://www.openflightmaps.org/ but again these are not official and rely on crowd sourcing. Asia there is no single source as each...

    NA Best Work Laptops

I run a small IT consultancy www.silverstratusglobal.com and we pretty much use Dell exclusively for our clients. For your needs any of the upper end Vostro line or Latitude will serve you well. We do have some Lenovo's out there and they are fine but Dell support beats Lenovo hands down...

    Airparks and building hangars

+1 on depends as well, I've lived at/been involved with 3 airparks 0TX1, 1N1, and currently at WI69. Really depends on the bylaws on keeping the plane outside, but as a general rule this is discouraged. As for hangar construction the two main factors are site work as has been said, and building...

    Maintenance shop customer service

@Arrow Flyer I've had pretty descent luck with Plane Safe at KUES (Waukesha, WI) and Wisconsin Aviation KRYV (Watertown, WI). Flat rate annual at WISAV on my Grumman AA1 was $1,500 and my T210 $3200 @ a shop rate of $99. Communication was good, updates timely, and work was through and of good...

Passenger Pickup - KORD Chicago O'Hare Edition

I would do KPWK or KDPA both have good services, PWK is easy to get to ORD by rental car and DPA is a bit further out but slightly cheaper in fees.

    Cherokee 235 Interior: This Cramped?

I used to own a 64 235B and yes they are really crowded in the back. For long flights with my Wife I would remove the front seat and she would sit in the back. That gave sufficient leg room. Otherwise I have had 2 adults in the back but I had to have the front seats pretty far forward and I...

US customs fees for GA <12,500lbs

Flew in from Canada a few times, as long as you are arriving at a staffed Port of Entry within their regular business hours there is no fee. Just make sure to have the CBP Decal or receipt that you purchased the decal. Otherwise pretty much a non event most cases.
