New to flying - Do you think the FAA would get involved in this because they saw the video or would the pilot be required to notify the FAA?

I looked through the comments trying to find the answer but haven't seen anything yet - Does anyone know what the cause was of this crash?

This story is insane! I totally understand the rules about not bringing in food or trying to get past security and not declaring food or other items but the guy should have some common since and see how this was an honest mistake and gave the lady a warning. This could have been a great moment...

I would go to PHL for sure - The flight map doesn't provide all of the other factors that must be taken into account to determine where to divert to.

So I have been doing a little research about this and had a few questions that I thought maybe you guys could answer for me - How far out was the lady sucked out? did she die from the explosion or from being partly sucked out of the window?
