    Anybody reload/handload?

I’ve been reloading for a few years. Started of with a Dillon 550 and reloading 9mm and .45. Didn’t really save much reloading the 9mm, but was worth it for the .45. Then I started shooting sporting clays and now mostly reload shotshells. Mostly 16 ga and 28 ga. Wasn’t really worth...

First time in the clouds and I gave up

As a VFR pilot that inadvertently flew into clouds at night. I’m very glad that I had 20 hours of hood time with a instructor. One of the things going through my mind was that damn 178 seconds to live video I had watched. I was at 5500’ and managed to do a 180 and descend to 2000’. I was...

    Boats, Planes, and Taxes

One interesting thing is I bought the boat from a individual. For some reason Florida let’s a individual sale itemize the hull from the engine, you only pay tax on the hull. And like planes a big part of the value is in the engines. So i saved quite a bit going that route. It doesn’t apply...

    Boats, Planes, and Taxes

it’s my fault. In April I bought a house on a canal with Gulf access. Last month I bought a boat. Hopefully next week I’ll get to start using it. I live on the west coast of Florida and the boat was on the East coast. I started looking back in April and had pretty much decided what I...

Coronavirus hysteria is hurting every one.

It’s probably going to cancel my planned real estate deal. I have a contract to sell my house and a contract to buy another. Normally I would go ahead and purchase the home I have a contract on as I would not worry about mine selling in a reasonable amount of time. But now unless I can move...

    Thoughts on Beech Debonair? 33model.

I just sold mine, put around 700 hrs over 8 years. It would do 150 knots at 11.5-12 gph, burning Mogas that saved me quite a bit over the years. Mine had a decent useful load and I could load 4 adults and head down to key west for lunch. I just couldn’t put much in the baggage area with 4...

For Sale: Partnership Beechcraft Debonair at PGD

It really is a nice plane. I’ve talked with the buyer and he already has put over 10 hrs required for his insurance. He had a few questions, but is still happy with the plane.

flight from Marco Island, FL (KMKY) to Everglades City, FL (X01)

I get a little nervous flying over the Everglades. But flying to Key West I try to fly around 6500-7500’ so I could glide close to shore. The water is warm, and there are plenty of boats usually out there. And I use flight following.

flight from Marco Island, FL (KMKY) to Everglades City, FL (X01)

We fly down to Everglades city from time to time. My wife likes the Havana cafe. They will pick you up at the airport. Of coarse the next stop is Marathon and key west.

    150 knots for $150k

You could look at a Debonair. 150kts and burn Mogas while doing it. I paid $2.80 last week, burn a little less than 12gph for 150kts. Less than $35 hr for fuel at 150kts.

Plane is also listed for sale. The wife is just not interested in flying so it’s a little much for me to use for hamburger runs.

For Sale: Partnership Beechcraft Debonair at PGD

Just checking if there is any interest in a partnership with my Beechcraft Debonair. I have a t hangar at PGD and I’m just throwing out the idea of getting a partner or two to help reduce the cost of ownership.
