Charged With DUI When I Wasn’t Driving

Probably goes without saying to lawyer up.

Redundant "traffic" and other annoyances . . .

A pet peeve is people announcing positions using IFR fixes at uncontrolled fields. Sorry, but announcing you're over UCETI inbound for 14 doesn't help a VFR pilot much. Even with an instrument rating, I don't always have approaches memorized.

    Colorado lunch….sunday dec 18?

Sorry, just now seeing this. I was out of town on Saturday or I would have liked to meet everyone.

    Colorado lunch….sunday dec 18?

May want to at least inform the restaurant. The hostess(es) at Perfect Landing can be very cranky when people show up without a reservation. Even when there are only a few people there for breakfast.

    No Polarization Sunglasses

I've been able to buy non-polarized at Sam's Club, but not Costco. Costco (at least here) only sells polarized.

    Weekend Instrument ground school, thoughts?

I did a weekend course at American Flyers in Dallas. Like others have pointed out, it teaches the test and along with some memory aides from Sheppard, I passed with a score in the 90s (I believe). I learn/memorize better in a classroom setting, so Sheppard wasn't working for me by itself. YMMV.

    Instrument written Sheppard Air

I found some of Sheppard's memorization tools helpful, but overall it didn't work for me by itself. I finally enrolled in an American Flyers weekend ground school.

    Boston to Austin

If you haven't arranged hotel in Fredericksburg, the Hangar Hotel is awesome. Right on the airport, very clean, and with a great bar. There is a restaurant next door, as well. https://www.hangarhotel.com/

    Denver Colorado Area

There is a lot of horse property near Centennial airport (KAPA), though I hear hangar space is impossible to come by. I think the area is called Foxfield, off of Arapahoe Rd. Not sure what's around Front Range Airport (FTG), but that's pretty close to Denver International.

    Tesla Supercharging

I drove from Denver to Dallas a few months ago and found that Texas Supercharger rates were very low compared to Colorado and New Mexico, in fact about half. There was even one Supercharger (Amarillo) that was free for some reason. I guess it's been that way for some time. I read that...

    Tesla Model 3 - Finally.

I've had a Model Y for just about a year now, and paid for the Full Self Driving option. I wish I hadn't. I quickly turned off the Navigate on Autopilot automatic lane changes, as they were(are) too abrupt. Plus, the car can't really see a turn signal on another vehicle beyond the lane next...

    TSA delays......

Thank you! I hadn't seen that before. Clear isn't worth it to me if I'm paying for it. But free is a different story!

    Get the damn vaccine.

But yet, you still misinterpreted the data and stated that 20% (even though you highlighted 19%) of fully vaccinated peopled died from COVID.

    Ipad during IFR

Been there. Not an IPC, though. I grabbed my iPhone, which I carried as a backup and realized that I had never really practiced with it and didn't want to have to figure it out on an approach. Luckily it wasn't IMC and I wasn't established yet. I just canceled IFR. Lesson learned, though...
