    2023 Honda Pilot

Anyone have a 2023 Honda pilot? Looking to buy a used one, specifically the Elite trim. Reviews look great. Test driving one in a few days. I own a 2019 Insight so I know how reliable Hondas can be. Any major flaws?

    MV Failure

Pretty sure airline apps asks for any training failures. It’s not really a big deal. Most guys have at least 1 failure. It’s not really a dealbreaker. You should report it. Worst case is you don’t and they find out and ask why you lied. Not worth it

    Airline pilots question

Grew up in an airline family. Honestly, I didn’t think anything was different because the norm was just my dad leaving for a few days at a time. He stayed a senior FO and rarely missed birthdays, sporting events, concerts, etc. Timing in everything. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best...

FAA Drops Expiration Date from CFI

Ah I thought this was the final rule. I think AceCFI emails me when it comes time to renew so in theory I shouldn’t need a grace period if I pay attention. Hopefully they will still alert me.

They do the same thing. Preflight the plane and get it ready for the next flight.

All things equal - which approach are you taking

Yea but they still generally won’t spend money on things that they don’t think will have a decent ROI

All things equal - which approach are you taking

Airlines already run on razor thin profit margins. They’re not going to spend money on things that they don’t see financially fit for the operation.

All things equal - which approach are you taking

Pretty much every airport that 121 carriers go to have an ILS. So there’s no need to spend the money to put WAAS in the planes.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Sigh. Yea I know. I was just answering the question to another poster. Nothing less, nothing more. Never did I say otherwise.

All things equal - which approach are you taking

Every fleet at my airline can do RNAV approaches but I believe only the 220 and 350 can go down to LPV mins. The rest of the fleets have to use LNAV/VNAV mins. It’s really a moot point though because pretty much every airport we go to has an ILS. And to answer the thread question, RNAV:)

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Never said the app would have prevented the incident. :dunno: Just answered another poster’s question

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Our version of Jepp FD has a wingspan restriction tab and will mark all of the unsuitable taxiways for your fleet in red.

Delta knocks tail off other plane on ground

Depends on if they want to spend the money to fix it.
