Best ADS-B IN to match TailBeacon

Ditto, my Stratux is set up the same. I have it remotely mounted behind the panel powered directly by cig lighter and using remote antennas.

    Transponder (new Private Pilot)

He did mention affordable, the Garmins will be 5 to 10K depending on where installed. Not sure $200 (about a tank of gas) qualifies for throwing "good" money away for a working transponder that slides right in and doesn't need to be on an installation waiting list during this busy period prior...

Adjusting Century 21 Autopilot to make heading align with HDG bug

I had a Century 21 in my Archer which didn't work at all and sent it back to Century in Mineral Wells. It did work after that but would still drift back and forth some regardless if holding a heading or tracking. Eventually dumped it for a TruTrak. Night and day comparison.

    New Battle of Midway Movie.

Given everything I read here, I'd still like to see the movie. I guess some folks want real dinosaurs before they go to a Jurassic park movie. Seriously though, it's about the story, characters and action. We read books that we think are good where we have to do BGI (brain generated images).

    Transponder (new Private Pilot)

While there are definitely better/newer transponders out there that would be "nice" to have, they will be more expensive and have a large install cost also. You can buy 3 KT76 or 78 and keep two on a shelf as back up for less money.

Draco crash on takeoff 16 Sept 2019

If you look close at the left aileron it appears it had full upward deflection which would have been the correct input.

    Transponder (new Private Pilot)

I think @Domenick might have went a bit too quick on that search..Just look at ebay, they tend to run between $100 and $250 since there is a glut out there (try to get one that gives a guarantee). I know, I had pulled my KT76 out last year. When I saw the asking prices for them I gave it to one...

    Transponder (new Private Pilot)

Ditto...as everyone has been replacing their KT 76 and KT 78 transponders to comply with ADSB 2020 rule, there are plenty of them on the used market going cheap.

How Well Do Experimental Aircraft hold their value?

Most older RV10s only cost about that much to build, so they are holding value at nearly 100%. The oldest RV10s go back to 2005. I don't think 2005 Cessnas, Pipers, etc. have resale values of what they cost new and they are nowhere near as efficient as the 10.

Don’t think he will get his asking price...

Those were great units. $500 when new. Had one in a Mooney and it worked flawlessly on the first Cayman Caravan from Key West to Grand Cayman. The pilot of the Bonanza that landed before me was complaining that his 3K M1 Northstar Loran only worked intermittently. Loran should not have been...

    TruTrak firmware is ready!

Not sure this is true...Here's a screen shot of the diagnostic page on my E5. Notice the pitot and static temp listed. I took the pic to send to Aspen since the IMU sensor had failed and they replaced the unit.

    TruTrak and LNAV+V & LNAV/VNAV

Not sure I'd want either of those...Not sure why some think that IAS climb is a MUST have..The TT will climb at whatever rate we punch in and will not go lower than programmed minimal airspeed. So safety not an issue and it takes all of 2 seconds to change the rate of climb as we get higher to...

    Uber tipping?

To add to the appreciation factor you might consider tipping in cash as opposed to having it processed through Uber. For several months I was having to use Uber for an r/t ride from the destination airport twice a week. Ride was close to 20 bucks and I always gave a $5 tip in cash. I found the...
