I've used Fastmail as a secondary address since before Gmail existed (i.e. before 2004). It's pretty solid. I don't think I've used their IMAP though, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't solid as well.

How will you solve the chicken and egg problem? Buyers want ads, but there aren't any. Sellers want buyers (website traffic), but there aren't any. Classic problem with marketplace sites (job sites, dating sites, etc). Will you be an aggregator (Indeed.com for airplane for-sale ads)...

If it's not patented, we can just wait until Foreflight implements it on their own. They're a smart bunch.

The CJAA conference is coming up soon in New Orleans - anyone from here going? I don't own one yet, but I'd like to own an L-39 one day, so I'm going to the conference to start learning more.

To have my instrument rating, helicopter license, commercial license, and to be type rated to fly an L-39 jet (which requires 1000 hours total time, 500 of which is PIC). I hope to have this done long before 2020.

You're right. Think about it - we can open up Facebook and in 5 seconds, see updates from what our friends are doing. But we can't get a "newsfeed" style interface to notams. This would be a great app. "Mark as read", done.
