    This would be one of the LAST planes to try exiting with the engine running, especially for a passenger. I mean you’re stepping towards the prop... No idea what the pilot could’ve been thinking. Really tragic incident.

    The accident aircraft were not told of each other in the portion I heard. Sounded like there were 2 other planes being handled in the pattern in addition to the 2 accident planes. Tower only told 1 of those other 2 about following the Piper for 30L.

    Listened to the LiveATC and the 172 was cleared 30R and the Piper 30L. Tower even confirmed 30L after the initial clearance and the Piper read back 30L both times but appears to have lined up 30R anyway

    Any good landing tips while on final?

    Don’t overthink it. Let your instructor show you a good one and try to repeat what they do. Landings take getting a feel for what the plane is trying to do and making small corrections all the way to the ground. They will get better with practice and time.
