Why have we not switched to an oval pattern?

No, but the laws of aerodynamics do not favor flying above the critical AOA in the pattern.

It's in preparation for fully autonomous drones.

    Hagerstown and the SFRA

HGR is about 30 nm from the SFRA. The airspace that's about 2.5 nm easy of HGR is the expanded airspace for Camp David when the President is there.

Notam and TFR plotting errors (?)

Not a plotting issue, just slightly different centerpoints and radii. The Class D is 5.3 nm radius centered on 30-14-01N/81-40-34W The TFR is 5 nm radius centered on 30-14-02N/81-40-22W

First Remote Tower in the US

I believe they started controlling from the mobile tower in March, 2020. I don't think they have ever controlled from the 'remote tower.'

First Remote Tower in the US

No it hasn't. ATC at FNL is being done from a mobile tower. The just did the first part of the test--monitoring the traffic being controlled by controllers in the mobile tower--this Spring (the program was delayed due to Covid).

    New CTAF Frequency - Surprise

Once something is published in the chart supplement, etc., there won't be a NOTAM. The problem was the failure to check the chart supplement and sectional chart, which the FAA would consider a clear violation of 91.103.

Landing fee if you conduct a T&G or low approach at KDEN or KMCI?

AIrports can only charge for use of the pavement. They don't own the airspace and cannot charge for its use.

Plane crash Gillespie Field, San Diego

The control tower does the traffic count. They count 'operations' (takeoffs, landings, low approaches, etc. Nine touch and go's would count as 18 operations (9 landings and 9 takeoffs).

Plane crash Gillespie Field, San Diego

I don't know if a Lear 35 could legally/safely land on RWY17. The controller who cleared him for the approach wouldn't know either. If the reported weather is VMC and the pilot cancels IFR, what what would you expect the tower controller to do? Would it make any difference if it were a C-172?

    Mini-monovision

Monovision lenses (one eye set for distance, the other for near vision) have been discussed in numerous threads. The FAA does not allow monovision contacts, but does allow monovision implanted lenses. Does anyone here have experience with intraocular lenses in a minimonovision (.5 to .75...
