Wait a minute.... ice caps are not melting???

If you say so. Fair trade in my opinion. How are we losing fresh water? I must be really smart as I relocated to the vicinity of a substantial supply of the stuff. I just looked out the window and it seems that all 12,100 cubic kilometers is still there. Wanna buy some?

Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

He or she has the ultimate say-so when it comes to the go verses no go decision and the criteria used to make that decision. All good points but I believe that the Air Force should get out of the air show business completely.

Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

Why should the family profit? He engaged in a high risk activity and the Air Force was not able to save his bacon. It might be different if he survived and required prolonged medical care and support services.

Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

I feel bad for the pilot and his family. Hopefully the cause of the failure of the rescue system will be determined as the result of the lawsuit. It depends on how you define safety conscious. Maybe he was compared to other stunt pilots. It could be argued that safety conscious pilots do not...

Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

So the questions are: Did the pilot accept inadequate rescue procedures? Did the rescue personnel not adhere to the plan? If not, why didn't the pilot abort if he didn't see the trucks properly positioned before he began the run? [FONT=Calibri][SIZE=3] My guess is money. Probably around $5...

Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

Does the pilot share any responsibility if he failed to review the insufficient response plan? Wouldn't it be advisable to ask where the emergency equipment would be positioned prior to engaging in such high risk flying?

Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

I feel bad for the guy but I believe that it was the stunt pilot's responsibility to coordinate with the organizer. Only if they did not follow their plan or misled the pilot they should be held liable.

Andreini Family Suing Air Force for $10 Million

Did the pilot coordinate with base officials to determine if the rescue procedures and equipment were to industry standards or did he assume that they would be adequate?

I think he flew too low.

Guitar & Bass Players / Any band members?

There are other ways to judge a guitar store. Do they have a Fender Stratocaster with triple single coil pickups and a whammy bar? Pre CBS Fender corporate buyout Will they let you play Stairway? Or will you be denied?

Wait a minute.... ice caps are not melting???

Oh no! Somebody sold Al Gore property near the ocean for about $9 million bucks. Poor guy. I hope he can swim. Former vice president Al Gore and his wife, Tipper, bought a gated $8,875,000 ocean-view villa in Montecito, Calif., where Oprah Winfrey also owns a mansion, the Los Angeles Times...

Wait a minute.... ice caps are not melting???

I absolutely agree. That's the big reason I came here, the pristine, unspoiled beauty. People up here tend to respect the environment. There is very little trash or pollution. I don't get the fantasy that we can hop into a spaceship and head to a better life. Plausible but I'm not certain...

Wait a minute.... ice caps are not melting???

Have fun on your journey. I'm staying behind. God and I will work something out. The U.P. is still a beautiful place.

Wait a minute.... ice caps are not melting???

What place is better than a trashed Earth? Why does greed exist?

    2014 hottest year on record

For the record: I don't believe that the CO2 contribution from the burning of fossil fuels increases the temperature of the atmosphere appreciably. Even if it did there is no realistic way to alter the course of climate change. Even if it was possible to make an appreciable difference in...

Humans tend to be greedy and selfish but that's reality and I'm just trying to live the best I can in this imperfect world.

I'm with you. The Greenhouse Effect (whatever it is exactly) of carbon dioxide on atmospheric temperature has been greatly exaggerated.

Rather than attempt to reply to your post I'll just sit here in awe for a little while. Thank you for being the Most Interesting Man in the SZ (not kidding). I mean Most Interesting Person in the SZ (sorry Aunt Peggy).
