Flying V Ranch, Louise, TX (T26)

Diana, it was my pleasure to do this for someone whose hospitality is also hard to beat. I've not experienced it personally, but I've seen posts from others on here who have, and that's enough for me. Be sure to let me know if/when you come through the area. There's a grass strip not too far...

I flew in there in the raffle plane last September. Very nice grass strip - also the first (and so far only) grass strip I've landed on! I believe the owner has a Stearman restoration shop on the field, so there are usually a few Stearmans to be seen there in various stages of construction. I...

    Sightseeing in Class B

I've done many sight-seeing flights in the Houston Bravo, I echo what everyone says above. Class B should not be feared. Go to http://www.houstonpilots.net and check out the article on Flying In and Around the Houston Class Bravo on the Pilot Resources page if you want some more info.

For Sale -- One brand, new aviation themed hotel

Congratulations, Jay! I'm very excited for you guys! Welcome to Texas, come on in - the water's fine! Port A isn't that far of a flight from Houston, and I know a particular raffle airplane that would love to be on static display at your grand opening (when is that, again?), if you'll have...

    Who's visited a control tower?

Been in the towers at IAH, CPR, BIL, and FWS. Also visited Houston TRACON. I found each visit to be very informative and rather easy to coordinate. In fact, I called BIL tower from the airline terminal and said that I was a visiting pilot and had a couple of hours before my flight home, would...

    FlightAware's new Flight Planner

Hi Karl, good to have you on here. I think I probably met you and Daniel Baker when I took a tour of your facility with a WAI group a couple of years ago. I was the bald guy with a goatee. Thanks for the inside scoop!

poa pilots: Twitter where you go!

No, only if you send a direct message to poapilots will it get rebroadcast. Normal tweets will not be forwarded with this method. Yes, if you log in with the old username/password you should be able to get to a Settings page where you can reinstate the account and click an option to 'Protect...
