    Pilots with Color Vision Restriction

Well, no pilot related medical message board would be complete with out a discussion thread on Color Vision issues. I guess I'll be the first to break the ice on this one. I know I learned a lot from the folks on the *other* message board of the respected organization we know of. :) I'm...

Frustration!!! (DUAL Posted, AOPA and POA)

You mean I have to do steep turns again for the instrument checkride? UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH........... Ahh what am I worried about, I did them fine on my checkride. But I have not done them in so long I am having flashbacks of when I first attempted them. ;)

    Should I be concerned?

I dont think so. I know someone that took well over a year to get their PP and he is now just a few clicks away from landing a commercial job.

    "Just for fun" training?

AMEN to that Jim. Also agree on what has been said about instrument rating. I'm really in the early stages of getting that going but thinking of the WX and getting stuck on a long XC does not excite me. It does however motivate me to keep working towards the instrument. I think its a must if you...

Places I want to fly to...

Flyboy, one of the CFIs where I learn to fly/rent to fly wants to organize a trip from the Atlanta area down to the Bahamas in a convoy of small aircraft. If I had money to blow, and had my instrument rating done I think I might just take that crazy trip. He had it planned out too. Just needs...

    AOPA Flight Planner

:blueplane: At the least, its fun to play with. I have several routes stored in it that I kick up from time to time, adjust, or just add new ones. I like how the data you put into it follows you around if you log in on another computer. My routes and airplanes are already there. I'm...

    AOPA Flight Planner

Well, my main question, and as a pilot with just under 70 total hours and only 12 or so hours of X-C time, I do not have all that experience to feed off, but I was wondering if this flight planner (and others) are actually as SMART as they seem. Say I set up a flight plan to go from A to B...

Where do I register for the airplane giveaway?

Maybe someone can donate an old Cessna 150. Don't everyone rush out to get your ballots in :)

    AOPA Flight Planner

Jim, Go ahead and enter a route, then download the weather. When you go back to the map screen there is a drop down menu up top. Click it and you should see the option to overlay. I was impressed when my instructor showed it to me!

    A Big Thanks!

I am not familiar with that airplane, but its a looker! It would have fooled me for a Commander. Found some images of the bird at: Google Image Search: http://images.google.com/images?q=Bellanca%20Viking&hl=en&lr=&sa=N&tab=wi MSN Image Search...

    Excellent!!!

IMPRESSIVE....MOST Impressive... ;) I actually prefer a message board running software on vBulletin or the like. I was never a fan of the AOPA web boards interface.
