    [NA]Home plumbing[NA]

Air admittance valves allow air to be pulled into the pipe, right? When you loosen yours and the water flows, is air actually escaping to allow the flow? I suppose you can test by plugging the sink, filling with water, removing the AAV, pulling your hand over where the AAV goes, then pulling...

    Thinking About a Boat

Chances are you'll rarely drive from the lower station. Plan on a "canvas" flybridge enclosure and look for the bare minimum of a control station below deck. The space is just too valuable. This would not apply if you told me you were going to make significant offshore trips and keep to a...

Disappointed with Dare to Dream at KFXE

That came to mind for me, too. He could go in as though looking for the same training as you and ask about records transfer... sharing his "concern" based on what he saw on FB and some popular aviation forums....

    Thinking About a Boat

I would not buy an express cruiser (SeaRay). If you don't want a sailboat, but want to do a long term liveaboard, you want a trawler or cabin cruiser. If you have nothing but time and are willing to perhaps not go to the Bahamas, I'd even consider a well built house boat. Bahamas won't be out...

    Rugby

Couple of guys I work with are rugby players (or were, not sure if still are). The team name truly encompasses the aesthetic of these 40+ year old guys and the sport itself: The Old Milwaukeeans makes me smile every time I say it.

Nice haul. You'll earn your keep sorting and selling, but still pretty great. Time for a fly in garage sale!

    More out of control cops

What we need are some new "less than lethal" weapons. My vote is for instant acting THC darts. Turn a violent leaning mob into a bunch of people with the munchies. :)

New Aviation Market! Need help with a name!

Globalplanesearch.com is close, but some sites don't allow GPS to crawl their site. For example, I know it does not scrub barnstormers.

New Aviation Market! Need help with a name!

There is a part time broker over on Beechtalk, Neal Schwartz. (I think his FT job is airline pilot). His for-sale posts are the gold standard. Register fot BT and check them out. Ask him how much time each listing takes and how you / your website could make it easier. I have...

    Fake Support Dogs

I'm on the fence on this one; tilted slightly towards the "c'mon, seriously?" side. I don't mind a well behaved dog in any situation. I do think it unfair that some folks who would like to take their dog out and about do not because they don't want to scam the system (I'm projecting here).

Aircraft recommendation for 200-300 nm business trips with easy access for dogs

Older A36 is what I was thinking, too. Regarding depreciation, I am not an accountant, but I think you can do 7 year straight line or MACRS. If I understand correctly, MACRS is not quite as good as bonus, but you will be able to depreciate more than 50% of a 7 year by the third year.
