    [NA] NYC steakhouse suggestion

I can vouch for Keens; I had the mutton chop and it was excellent. As a pipe smoker, the history of the place and the thousands of clay pipes hanging from the ceiling were a plus for me. Never been to Peter Luger but I have heard great things about it, and want to go there the next time I'm in NY.

    Part ownership?

I’ve been on the other end of this. I had a plane that I bought and owned outright; sold 50% interest to another pilot, then we agreed to a third, and now there are four of us - and my original 50% ownership guy is gone. In other words, it’s now me and three new guys. So far everything has...

Savvy Aviation Mike Busch Videos - Thoughts?

That’s opposite most of the YT videos I try to watch. They prattle on incessantly for what seems like forever before actually divulging any worthwhile information or talking about what they are going to talk about. It bad enough that I either just skip through most of it or just kill it and do...

    Northeast Kansas New Destination

My plane, the yellow RV-12 with Woodstock on the tail. There are four of us flying it, and our EAA chapter had a fly-out to your place over the weekend. One of my partners flew it down there. Next to it is another 12 belonging to a friend of mine (gorgeous red and silver one - much nicer than...

Yes, "we all". Everyone I knew, and everyone they knew, all survived - and without major injuries. I never heard of anyone killed by an Easy Bake Oven, Creepy Crawler machine, or for that matter a chemistry set. Lawn darts - obviously another matter; anyone could see how dangerous those were if...

We had Jarts. I always wanted a Vac-U-Form and some of the others… some of my friends had the Creepy Crawlers (and of course Imcredible Edibles). There was another one a buddy had, the Strange Change Machine. You took a little Starburst-size/shape chunk of plastic and stuck it in a heating...

    College football 2024

Don't forget Callahan. Our ADs have made a string of truly horrific choices over the past couple of decades. Pelini was the last coach we had with a record better than .500. He still wasn't that great, but right now 9-3 or 10-2 (which he did consistently) looks pretty good. Maybe he can...

    College football 2024

And yet we fill the stadium for every game and seats are sold out for over 400 consecutive games... I think yesterday was #404 or 405 or something. It is a pretty bleak picture, though. We haven't had a winning coach in so long it's just become a bad dream for those of us who were around when...
