Cleared in Bravo if I cancel IFR?

When VFR yes, however the situation described is a little more complex. I commonly fly into a G underlying a C and I fly directly through and over the top of the primary because its the easiest way to go. There are times i'm still in the surface area and get the ole "frequency change approved...

Cleared in Bravo if I cancel IFR?

Where was this? I was trying to find a similar scenario but can’t find many G approaches that conflict with B airspace.

    Helicopter from Fixed Wing

Thank you, It looks like adding an additional category 61.63 (b) (1) complete the training and have the applicable aeronautical experience would require you to complete the 20 hours of dual instruction & 10 solo although you would not be required to take an additional knowledge test. I had...

    Helicopter from Fixed Wing

I am an instrument rated private pilot and have an opportunity to get some time in a helicopter. My question is hypothetical because I don't desire a rotorcraft rating but here it is anyways... Would it be possible to do (3 hours Total of instruction, at night, cross country, in preparation of...

    Your "what if" plane

Hindsight is 20/20....or maybe 1SM and clear of clouds

Everybody is wrong on this thread you just announce "air shuttle 630 - departing runway 34 last call St Simmons traffic" You takeoff with a tailwind, while maintaining E cloud clearances and if anybody has a question about the reported METAR at the time of departure they start calling mesa...

Hindsight is 20/20....or maybe 1SM and clear of clouds

You don’t need SVFR in class G, just 1sm clear of clouds below 1200

    new pilot request help

It shouldn't be as much of a factor in a 150, Hand calculating with a 175lb pilot and 50lbs of luggage in area 1 and 135lbs of fuel should yield a 35.31cg calculating 19.5 (3 gal unusable?) gallons of fuel burn still turns out a 34.75cg which is well within the envelope. I'm guessing something...

    new pilot request help

If the gusts die down I would make a go if it. I left KABI in a 172 about a week ago with 25kt winds but didn’t have the gusts. Also, 7t7 may not be the best bet for a stop. Winds can be stiff around midland Odessa. KODO, KMAF or KMDD all have a couple options to cut down on crosswind. I think...

I’ve had a controller tell me in a MOA “MOA is hot, multiple primary radar targets 9-12 o’clock, altitude unknown” kinda gives you a warm and fuzzy. I was just on the corner and at the bottom but nonetheless...

    MOA airspace

It looks like you’re headed into The Roswell, NM area. The real hazard out there is the UFO traffic... good thing there’s plenty of military aircraft around

    IFR training long xcountry question

Probably, but in his defense there are not many instrument students in our area and I’m sure the experience requirements were not on the top of his list early in my training. We made plenty of other flights that met the requirements before it was all over.

    What plane should I buy?

Brand new Mooney acclaim ultra is what you should buy. It will be 2500/month if you have 500,000 down +-

quickest alt gain on Cessna 150?

If your wanting to know how to increase your angle of climb just fly on days the surface winds are just slightly above Vs and straight down the runway... or takeoff directly into the wind across the ramp or something. Pitch for Vx and climb pretty much straight up... maybe even backwards
